"Samsung Galaxy Mini and Samsung Galaxy Pro, coming soon to Three. Three has announced that it will be ranging the Samsung Galaxy Mini and the Samsung Galaxy Pro in April. "In a recent announcement, mobile operator 3 revealed that, from April onwards, it will be selling two new Android-based handsets from Samsung the Galaxy Mini and the Galaxy Pro.
Noting that Samsung has had a great start to the year by bringing very strong smartphone contenders to market, Sylvia Chind – Head of Branded Devices at 3- said: Were very excited to be adding the Samsung Galaxy Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Mini to our growing portfolio.
Despite the fact that the exact launch date and the pricing of the forthcoming Samsung handsets on 3 remain undisclosed; the carrier has confirmed that both the Galaxy Mini and the Galaxy Pro will be on pay as you go and contract.
The Galaxy Mini will be Samsungs entry-level budget Android handset featuring a 3.14-inch capacitive touchscreen, and a 600MHz processor; while the Galaxy Pro, which is a better handset of the two, features a 2.8-inch touchscreen, an 800MHz processor, and a full QWERTY keyboard.
The Mini will be available in two bright-coloured variants – black and green, and black and silver. Meanwhile, the Pro will also include Samsung’s Social Hub Premium – a social networking feature that will enable users to manage their social life from one place.
Both the handsets will feature a 3-megapixel camera; and run the 2.2 Froyo version of the Google Android OS. 3 is yet to disclose whether these two handsets will be updated to the Android Gingerbread version in the future.
